Seeing that the 1990 World Cup Finals was the last time that England got this far in the tournament, it seemed apt to wear a kit from that cup! (It's also one of my favourites).
This sky blue Umbro kit was issued to the England squad for the Italia 90 World Cup Finals as an alternative jersey to the home and away options, but was never worn in match play. England wore the 1990 home shirt in all seven of their matches in Italy. This shirt was worn once in a UEFA 92 qualifier against Turkey on May 1991, which England won 1-0.

The shirt is probably better remembered for being worn by Bernard Sumner of New Order in the video for World in Motion, which was the official England Italia 90 song, and went straight to number 1 in the UK charts! It's a classic, but not as catchy as Three Lions, released by Baddiel, Skinner and The Lightning Seeds in 1996 for Euro 96.

I’m wearing the World Cup Finals edition, with #19 on the back, which would have been worn by Paul Gascoigne at the 1990 World Cup Finals IF it would have been used!

Today's Schedule - The Semi-Finals:
Croatia v England

After Englands impressive performance against Sweden in the quarters, the nation is feeling confident that we can make it to the final. Croatia are a great team and will be up for the challenge. I'll be right there with every England fan cheering them on from start to finish. LET'S DO THIS!
