WC CHALLENGE: #13/25

13/25:

This Umbro away kit was worn between March to June 2010, and featured in the 2010 World Cup Finals in South Africa. It was worn twice during the tournament, once against Slovenia in the group stage, and then against Germany in the knock-out stage, when we were beaten 4-1. The most memorable moment of this game was probably when Lampard scored to make it 2-2 … but the ref didn’t allow it because he didn’t think it crossed the goal line, even though it was clearly 1-foot over! (I’m not bitter about this still … AT ALL!) At least VAR has been incorporated into this World Cup.

I’m wearing #10, as worn by Wayne Rooney in the tournament, who made a total of 119 appearances for England, scoring 53 goals, and captaining the team 22 times.

Today's schedule:
Group C: Australia v Peru
Group C: Denmark v France
Group D: Nigeria v Argentina
Group D: Iceland v Croatia

Yesterdays games did not disappoint! Let's see what today has in store.
Argentina's tournament so far has been appalling, and to reach the knock-out stage they'll need to beat Nigeria, and hope that Iceland lose to Croatia.
