WC CHALLENGE: #8/25

8/25:

One of my least favourite England kits from over the years, this Umbro home kit was worn between March 2003 to November 2004, and was used for the 2004 Euro’s which were held in Portugal. It was worn against France in the group stages, with England losing 2-1 after Zinedine Zidane scored 2 goals in extra time! We still progressed to the knock out stages, but lost to Portugal on ... yep, penalties again!

I’m wearing #7, as worn by David Beckham in the tournament, who made a total of 115 appearances for England, scoring 17 goals, and captaining the team 59 times. Beckham also had some pretty tasty hairstyles in this kit. Remember the skinhead ... and those cornrows!!!?

Today's schedule:
Group C: Denmark v Australia
Group C: France v Peru
Group D: Argentina v Croatia

Australia and Peru could both be knocked out today if they lose to their opponents, Denmark and France. And will Argentina turn their World Cup form around, or will they fall at the hands of Croatia, which could ultimately take them one step closer to leaving the tournament at the group stage.
